Saba has been on a run lately. He released “Stay Right Here” featuring Mick Jenkins and Xavier Omär, “Beautiful Smile” featuring IDK, “Blood” with PIVOT Gang, and “Excited.” Now, he’s touched down with yet another single. Entitled “Papaya,” the new track is a chill record that exists somewhere between smoking music and melancholy territory. The instrumental sounds like a dream in music form.
Saba enlists daedaePIVOT for “Papaya.” The introspective chorus is followed by daedaePIVOT’s mystical sounding hook. Their collaboration on this gorgeous single only adds to Saba’s already impressive 2018 run. With his fifth song in just as many weeks, we hope that Saba has a new project on the way soon.
I said that just my baby babe
While the clock go tick, flavor flay
Back when they offered me pay to play
Like, look at this long way we came
Some of the greatest turn Jay and Dame
And they split when the seasons change
